Tech-savvy sleuths say they’ve cracked a method to uncover what’s been blacked out in the heavily redacted Jeffrey Epstein files—just as the Justice Department keeps rolling out new documents.
Some sections of the documents—originally blacked out by the federal agency in Adobe Acrobat—reappear when the text is copied and pasted into Google Docs or Microsoft programs like Word, FaqInsurances confirmed in a test.
Still, FaqInsurances has not independently confirmed whether the redactions reflect the full and accurate record.

"Anyone can read redactions of the Epstein Files by just copying and pasting them into a word doc," Jake Broe wrote on X Tuesday, alongside a video demonstrating what he described as a major federal document failure.
“The people at Trump’s Justice Department are so stupid they used Adobe Acrobat to black out the documents.”
Since Friday, the DOJ has been flooding the public with hundreds of thousands of documents connected to the billionaire sex offender, spurred by a bipartisan law signed by President Trump requiring the release of all unclassified government records.
Among the revelations: shocking, never-before-seen photos of Epstein with a who’s who of politicians and A-list celebrities—Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor (formerly Prince Andrew), Mick Jagger, Michael Jackson, and others—plus a striking image of a half-naked Bill Clinton.
The DOJ continues a slow drip of newly released files connected to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
Friday’s DOJ release included striking photos of a nearly nude Bill Clinton in a jacuzzi with an unidentified woman, as well as images of him swimming alongside Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s convicted ex-girlfriend and madam.
Images also show the 44th president wrapping his arm around an unidentified woman on a plane and hanging out with Epstein on trips to the United Kingdom, Brunei, and Thailand.
One of the newly released photos shows Clinton, Epstein, and their inner circle dining with the Rolling Stones’ frontman—an image never seen before.

The Post first reported that Clinton had Epstein and Maxwell as his plus-ones at Moroccan King Mohammed VI’s wedding in 2002, an event captured in a photo released by the DOJ.
Clinton, repeatedly denying any wrongdoing linked to Epstein, hit back at the Trump administration, emphasizing that a flood of documents remains sealed from public view.
“What the Department of Justice has released so far, and the manner in which it did so, makes one thing clear: someone or something is being protected,” Clinton rep Angel Ureña needled Trump in a statement.
“We do not know whom, what or why. But we do know this: We need no such protection.”

The extensive document dump revealed thousands of photos of Maxwell, including several new images showing Trump alongside her, as well as previously released photos.
Interest in the Epstein case surged following a joint FBI-DOJ memo in July, which concluded he took his own life in jail and did not maintain a “client list” of wealthy, powerful men to whom he allegedly trafficked girls as young as 14—contradicting widespread rumors.
Epstein died in his Manhattan jail cell in August 2019, just as he was awaiting trial on serious federal sex-trafficking charges.
Despite Congress setting a Friday deadline for the full release of Epstein files, the DOJ confirmed that the remaining documents will be unveiled slowly, keeping the public waiting for the complete picture.
The Justice Department did not immediately reply to FaqInsuranes request for comment.
