The Florida nurse now sitting behind bars for sexually assaulting her 15-year-old stepson has lost her state medical license — just weeks after her husband filed for divorce, adding another shocking twist to the disturbing case.
Ocala native Alexis Von Yates, 35, is now serving a two-year prison sentence after her husband, Frank, allegedly walked in on her engaging in a sexual act with her teenage stepson on the couch of their family home in July 2024.
Von Yates pleaded no contest to lewd and lascivious battery and was sent to prison in September 2025 after receiving a reduced sentence from the original sexual battery charge.

After a meeting last month between the Board of Nursing and Yates’ attorney, the Florida Department of Health moved to revoke the disgraced mother’s nursing license, according to Ocala News.
Florida health officials temporarily suspended the nurse’s license last April, but a final order obtained by the outlet shows Yates appeared before the Board of Nursing in October — where her license was permanently revoked after she declined to challenge any of the allegations against her.
Meanwhile, court records in Marion County show that Yates’ estranged husband filed for divorce last month in the wake of her shocking actions.
According to a Marion County arrest affidavit, on the night of July 26, 2024, Von Yates chose to "hang out" with her stepson — who was spending the summer visiting his father — after putting her two younger children to bed.
The pair allegedly spent the evening playing video games, watching movies, and using a THC vape before the stepmother crossed a disturbing line — complaining that the movie was boring and making inappropriate comments about her sexual frustration, according to what the victim later told police.
The mother and her stepson reportedly started cuddling on the couch before moving to a make-out session, during which she allegedly told him, "I wish you were 18, because you’re not old enough."
Von Yates then removed her underwear and proceeded to engage in unprotected oral sex and intercourse, The NewYork Post previously reported.
It was shortly after 1 a.m. when Frank, the minor’s biological father, returned home from his blue-collar job and found the pair completely naked under a blanket on the couch, reportedly shouting, "What the f–k is going on?"
Frank reportedly began throwing objects around the family living room, calling Von Yates a "c–t" and a "child predator."
According to the original arrest affidavit, the 15-year-old boy ran out of the house, but allegedly heard his stepmother telling his father that he "looked just like him when he was younger."

The horrified father quickly took his son to his grandparents’ house, where the teen spent the night.
The next day, the boy called his stepmother, who allegedly admitted she wished they hadn’t been caught and made inappropriate comments about the encounter, including noting how his body resembled his father’s, the teen later told police.
A concerned family member reportedly contacted police after the boy’s father failed to report the crime. Von Yates was arrested in November 2024, according to Ocala News.
Von Yates was arrested and charged with sexual battery on a person aged 12 to 18 and initially pleaded not guilty in December 2024, later accepting a plea deal and pleading guilty to a lesser charge.
"The family’s desire for Von Yates to do additional time is outweighed by their overall concern for the victim’s mental and emotional health," prosecutor Shanae Pickens told the judge after the disgraced mother accepted the plea deal in August.
Under the plea agreement, Von Yates will serve two years in the Department of Corrections, followed by two years of community supervision. She will remain on the sex offender registry for 10 years, complete 200 hours of community service, and pay fines and court costs.
Von Yates was sentenced to two years in prison in September 2025 and is currently serving her sentence in Florida.
