I met my $6000.00 deductible with MHC in August of 2019. Then, in November of 2019, I injured my knee. MHC would not authorize MRI until I did 6 sessions of PT (no co-pay for PT from MHC). In January 2020 the physical therapist I was seeing checked with MHC regarding MRI. MHC now says I can get the MRI without having to do the 6 sessions of PT. MHC won't pay for MRI in 2019 because I had met the deductible and they would have to pay but now that I'm into the new year, with new deductible, MHC says it's now ok to get MRI ($1300.00 that I have to pay that then goes toward the year 2020 deductible). Healthcare for profit is why the United States healthcare system is so messed up.

Horrible horrible company! Please do not get this insurance! June 8th, doctor recommended MRI for knee injury, denied. Paid for my own MRI. Torn meniscus and developing arthritis. Scheduled surgery, denied. Demand 6 weeks PT on injured knee. Completed 6 weeks. Scheduled surgery October 9th. Repair more extensive than thought. Looking at total knee replacement in about 8 years. Today was declined PT without prior authorization because I’d used 12 of my 20 visits! I believe the 4 months it took to get care made my knee worse. If this is care in America we are being cheated!!

Everything about this company has been a ridiculous. They have denied claims for any reason they can and everything is a fight to get it covered. Even a basic in network pharmacy or doctor.

Starting this November, Wyoming residents will have a new option for health insurance. Mountain Health CO-OP, a member-governed nonprofit health insurance company, will begin offering health coverage for the 2021 year to individuals and employer-paid plans.

Initially formed in Montana, the CO-OP expanded into Idaho and currently operates with 32,000 members between the two states. The CO-OP was approved this spring by the Wyoming Department of Insurance to begin selling plans for the 2021 year.

“We are a mission-driven company that strives to put members first, which is why we are excited to be part of the Wyoming community,” Richard Miltenberger, CEO, said. “Wyoming and Montana have a long, shared histories of strength and pride in their communities, so this partnership is a natural step for us.”

Some of the unique features of CO-OP plans include vision and dental exam reimbursements; 100% coverage on most insulins, many heart medications, inhalers, and hundreds of other prescription drugs; as well as a 24/7 telehealth benefit for medical and behavioral health that empowers members to speak to licensed doctors anytime, anywhere.

“Having another carrier in the marketplace not only reduces costs through marketplace competition for all Wyomingites, but it offers choice, which is something everyone deserves when purchasing healthcare insurance,” said Richard Wessenberg, Wyoming Sales Executive.

What Are the Closing Costs for Coops? | Pocketsense

The closing costs a-sociated with a co-op differ substantially from other types of real estate, such as condos or single family residences. Purchasing a co-op involves purchasing shares in a cooperative housing corporation, and as such, there are unique closing costs to consider. Examples of these costs include payments to the cooperative corporation, the management company in charge of managing the property and attorney's fees. A charge you won't always see when purchasing a co-op is title insurance, but leasehold insurance may be available.

The corporation typically charges the seller a "flip tax" or transfer fee for selling the co-op unit. While this charge may be a-sessed by the corporation for the seller to pay, the individual contract between the buyer and seller will ultimately dictate who pays this fee. Additional fees charged by the corporation include a move-in fee or deposit to the buyer and a move-out fee or deposit to the seller. The buyer may also have to pay the prorated co-op's maintenance charges depending on the day in the month that the closing occurs.

Like condos, co-op are managed and operated by a property management company. Various fees will be paid to the management company in connection with a purchase or sale of a co-op. Those fees may include a recognition fee and any other administrative fees they charge to facilitate the closing.

Other fees a-sociated with the purchase or sale of a co-op include any applicable costs for the co-op's attorney's fees, a fee to run a lien search on the subject property, any a-sessments that may be applicable and the broker's commissions. There may also be transfer taxes, depending on the state in which the property is situated.

Purchasing a co-op involves purchasing shares of stock in a corporation. As such, you're not actually purchasing real property, but rather personal property represented by a stock certificate and a proprietary lease. Title insurance is generally purchased to insure the title of real property, and as a result, is not applicable for the purchase of a co-op. However, "leasehold insurance" may be purchased. This insurance is similar to title insurance because it insures that the co-op unit is free and clear of all liens and encumbrances.
