"This is disgusting,” the responding officer told Schaaf-Olson — who was reportedly so drunk she couldn’t even spell her own name, yet wasted no time reminding police that she was a judge, according to the affidavit.
“This is unacceptable,” the officer told her firmly.

When he demanded to know why officers were questioning his wife, one of them shot back, “Because I just saw her puking and urinating, exposing herself to several people.”
"No, that wasn’t her," the husband insisted, his voice rising.
The video showed Jason pressing on, trying to pull his wife away despite repeated warnings from officers.
“I’m going to f—king throw you on the ground if you resist,” the officer told him, moments before doing so. “I gave you several chances, and you don’t want to listen.”
“When an officer is giving you an order, you need to comply and not interfere with the investigation.”
As he was shoved into a police cruiser and driven away, several more officers arrived on the scene.
“She has her pants completely down. I’m watching her right there, she’s peeing everywhere,” the initial responding officer explained to a fellow cop. “A bunch of people see, I see.”

“She’s useless — she can’t even spell her name,” he added.
The judge was cited for urinating or defecating in public and resigned from her position as Judge Pro Tempore in the Yavapai County Superior Court just two days later.
“My resignation comes after careful consideration of current physical, medical, and family circumstances,” she said in a statement.
“The Yavapai community deserves and has judges who are steadfast in their commitment to serving Yavapai County, considering current events in my life, I believe it would be difficult to honor this commitment. I have therefore decided to resign.”
Presiding Judge John Napper said he respected Schaaf-Olson’s decision to step down. Her replacement will be picked by the Arizona Supreme Court’s Chief Justice and must get the nod from county leaders, AZ Family reported.

Schaaf-Olson even turned herself in to the Arizona Commission on Judicial Conduct, which has launched an investigation into the incident.
She was appointed to the role in October 2023, and her final day on the bench will be Friday.
Her husband was cited for resisting arrest, interfering with a crime scene investigation, and obstructing government operations. He is scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 18.
