After SBI, this bank has started higher interest FD schemes for super senior citizens
After the State Bank of India launched a new special FD scheme SBI Patron, IDBI Bank has announced the launch of the ‘IDBI Chiranjeevi–Super Senior Citizen FD,’ a special Fixed Deposit product aimed at addressing the financial needs of individuals aged 80 years and above. IDBI Chiranjeevi has been launched under the overall umbrella of IDBI’s limited period ‘Utsav FD scheme’.Budget with ET

IDBI Chiranjeevi–Super Senior Citizen FD offers an additional 65 basis points (bps) over the bank’s standard regular deposit rates for Utsav FDs and 15 basis points (bps) over the senior citizen rates for these FDs. Note that IDBI Chiranjeevi-Super Senior Citizen FD rates will remain valid only for the duration of the respective Utsav FD buckets. The highest interest rate offered for super senior citizens is 8.05% per annum for a tenure of 555 days. For other tenures, the interest rates are as follows: 7.90% per annum for 375 days, 8.00% per annum for 444 days, and 7.85% per annum for 700 days.
