The 43rd India International Trade Fair (IITF) is already underway at the Bharat Mandapam Complex at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. This fair which started on November 14, 2024, will run till November 27, 2024. At hall number 4 of the IIFT fairground the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) has set up a 'Taxpayer's Lounge' which is open for the general public at no cost. According to the press release by CBDT, the Lounge offers various services, and user-friendly resources to educate the taxpayers, such as:Assistance in application for PAN/e-PAN, Aadhaar PAN Linking and PAN related queries.Assistance in e-Filing and Form 26AS (tax credit), TDS and e-filing related queries.Queries related to International Taxation.Queries related to Faceless Assessment and appeal related matters.Various initiatives about taxpayer services and e-Nivaran Grievances etc.
Special children's corner inside the taxpayer's lounge at IITF 2024
There is a special children's corner inside the income tax lounge at IITF 2024 where they can enjoy and engage in various activities that introduce them to key concepts of taxation and civic duties in a playful environment."This space (children's corner) offers activities like Board Games, VR games, Digital Comic Books, the 'Aaycar' game, etc. Adding a touch of entertainment for the visitors, the Lounge also hosts events like Nukkad Natak, Quiz shows, drawing/painting competitions for children, Magic shows, etc. on the themes of taxation and nation-building," said CBDT in the press release.

You can buy tickets online through IITF's website (https://itpo.autope.in/home) or at select Delhi metro stations or through Delhi metro app."Delhi Metro has made it simpler for you to book a ticket and visit IITF 2024. Buy your online tickets through the DMRC Momentum 2.0 Delhi Sarthi app and offline tickets at selected metro stations," said Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC). Visitors can access the IITF 2024 venue (Pragati Maidan) via the Supreme Court Metro Station and enter through Gates 3, 4, 6, and 10.
