RBL Bank has launched a special fixed deposit termed as 'Vijay Fixed Deposits'. This limited-time offer honors the bravery and sacrifices of India’s warriors offering significant financial rewards. The 'Vijay Fixed Deposits', has been designed to show appreciation for our military men, an RBL bank press release stated.

RBL Bank offers the highest interest rate of 8.10% on FDs maturing in 500 days. On the same FD tenure, the senior citizen will earn 0.50% extra i.e., 8.60%, and super senior citizens (80 years and above) are eligible for an additional interest rate of 0.75% i,e., 8.85%

Premature withdrawal rules
Minimum tenure for domestic & NRO FD is 7 days and no interest is payable for deposits prematurely withdrawn within the period of 7 days from the date of deposit.

According to the RBL Bank website, “On premature full/partial withdrawal of the Fixed Deposit, interest shall be paid at the rate that was applicable on the date the deposit was placed and for the period for which the deposit is maintained with the Bank, subject to a penalty of 1% on such rate. However, there is no penalty for premature withdrawal of Fixed Deposits by senior citizens/super senior citizens.”

Deposits below Rs 3 crore- Premature withdrawal not allowed
The limit is Rs 50 lakhs and above for non-individual and INR 1 crore above for individual customers.
